What’s two things we love? Michelle Obama and Vogue of course! So what happens when you combine the two? You get this….
Vogue has really hit home with us in 2013, with Beyonce on March’s cover and now the FLOTUS on April’s cover. 2013 has really been empowering for women and fashion! These two issues feature women who are inspiring, fashion-forward, hard-working and family-driven.
Michelle Obama’s spread was photographed and covered by Annie Leibovitz and Johnathan Van Meter. In this issue, Vogue got really personal with the Obama’s from life in Chicago and D.C, to marriage and family, to the vision they have for America.
The Obama’s value family so much, its inspiring. These morals trickle down to the way they view the country and is apparent in the change that we’ve seen. Even with a country to run, President Obama is home at 6:30 pm every night for dinner to spend time with his family. And with Michelle as his backbone, the Obama’s is proof that TRUE LOVE NEVER WAIVERS.
Michelle Obama is the FLOTUS we have been waiting for. Besides her strength and ability to create balance she is a fashion icon. She has been inspiring to us and her husband. In the article, the Obama’s speak on how Michelle “upgraded” the President and apparently the standards of how women dress in the eve of the public.
“I always say that women should wear whatever makes them feel good about themselves. That’s what I always try to do. . . . I also believe that if you’re comfortable in your clothes it’s easy to connect with people and make them feel comfortable as well. In every interaction that I have with people, I always want to show them my most authentic self.”
Who would take her advice. She looks amazing. Michelle Obama is always flawless!
