Fashion and Politics: 2013 Inauguration

Monday, Barack Obama was sworn in at the 57th Presidential Inauguration of the United States of America.  As we embraced the swearing in of Mr. President, we couldn’t help but to be moved by the fabulous FLOTUS (First Lady of the United States) Michelle and the Queen, Beyonce. They were flawless and fashionable as always.

Michelle Obama graced us with the beauty yesterday as a First Lady should, not once, not twice, not three times but four.

Let’s take a look at the First Lady’s special day…

First Lady Michelle Obama started off the day elegantly. Here, she is wearing a Thom Browne custom navy jacquard coat and dress, with a studded J. Crew Belt, purple J. Crew gloves and grey J. Crew kitten pumps.

For the grand finale, The Inaugural Ball, Michelle graced the stage in a custom made ruby drapped chiffon Jason Wu gown (who also designed her first gown), Jimmy Choo shoes and a Kimberly McDonald Diamond ring. She looked flattering with the Mr. President, might I add.

Of course we could not leave out the Queen Bey and her king Jay-Z, who are good friends of the Obamas. Beyonce flattered us as she sung the National Anthem in a black Emilio Pucci gown, a Christian Dior Coat and her GOREGEOUS Lorraine Schwartz emeralds.  Her hubby also wowed us with his Tom Ford Suit  and  grey scarf to top it off. They looked like royalty. We can only imagine how Baby Blue will look in the coming future!
