Printed roaring tigers on sweaters, bold patterns, bold colors and tailored pieces seem to be in this season. Since Kenzo Takada’s retirement in 1999, his Japanese brand owned by LVMH (owners of Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Givenchy, Hennessy and Moët) is back and ready for the spotlight, thanks to Humberto Leon and Carol Lim (who were appointed as creative directors).
The duo created a hit collection for their 2012 Fall RTW (Ready to Wear). This years collection was the hottest ticket during Paris Fashion Week this past September. Each piece was refreshing and new. Its obvious the designers had fun creating vivid patterns and re-birthing Kenzo’s original iconic tiger print. With its wild designs and patterns, this sizzling collection is definitely one for the roaring tigress who are not afraid to standout.
