Frugal Fashion

So I wanted to do a blog for those people who want to shop but really don’t have much to spend. Some people find it to be really difficult to find cute stuff without spending tons of dollars. So today I created a virtual budget, which was $125 and decided to do some shopping! I put together some cute stuff for different occasions just to give you all some ideas on how to “Shop the part” while staying below budget. Now staying below budget does not necessarily mean looking “cheap”, which means you can be stylish while without the big price tag.

Here are some outfits that I coordinated for different occasions…

Untitled #2This outfit is for those days when you have class and you want to be cute and comfy without overdoing it. Asimple knit sweater with some print leggings and ballet flats can be the simplest outfit to throw on without it being borderline clubwear. It’s fun and not too annoying in the morning.

This outfit is for those days when you are in the office or on some business venture and there’s a need to dress professionally. This outfit of neutral colors consist of a knee-length pencil skirt, a sheer blouse and navy blazer, paired with some low pumps and simple accessories. Its important to stay simple and neutral in business because colors and flamboyance can be distracting. As celebrity stylist Shun Melson says, “You speak volumes before you say a word”. It’s important to look the part.

This outfit is great for those first dates; the one you want to make a lasting impression. It’scute, classy and speaks confidence. I chose a simple dress and paired it with bold, elegant jewelry. The simple bodycon dress will hug your curves in all the right places without being revealing. Its one of those multiple occasion dresses. I chose peach and teal as my two bold colors because they are a two of those colors you could wear spring or fall; they also say a lot about your personality. I also wanted to add a touch of leopard because its like a sneak peak of sexy and fierce without saying a word. My jewelry pieces are timeless pieces that can make the simplest outfit, stunning, and that’s the impression you want to leave your date with! Add a nude lip and a smokey eye and it will surely be a date he won’t forget!

This is my favorite outfit! It is for those girls’ nights out where you just want to have fun, be sexy, vibrant and bold! This outfit is electrifying and I’m sure compliments will be constant that night. Why did I pick this? The colors, prints and shapes of course! This outfit is one most people wouldn’t dare pick up first because it’s not too matchy.  I paired a cute floral cropped top with a mustard peplum skirt to give it a little pop. The royal blue heels gives it an extra kick, which I absolutely love about this outfit. It sort of gives me an African vibe. I topped it off with some royal lightening bolt earrings, a gold mood necklace and a teal clutch. Add a pink lip and a little eyeliner and mascara and this outfit will surely make a statement!

If you like any of these outfits, feel free to make some purchases. The links can be found below. I know I am! I told you all it wasn’t that hard to stay on budget and be fashionable. Still not convinced, try it out yourself and you would be surprised with what you find!
